Capital of Marina Alta, Dénia is one of the most beautiful towns in the Community of Valencia. This week we suggest Ca Nano, great for eating out on a Sunday.

Once you reach the town, you have to look for the road to Jávea and before you take that road, you should detour to the left towards Les Rotes. Go straight ahead and at the end of that road you’ll see Ca Nano.

The spot is a protected environment where you can practice scuba diving (not underwater fishing) and kayaking. That’s why it’s very important that you respect the surroundings, picking up your cigarette butts (if you’re a smoker) and waste. There are enough trash cans to clean up after yourself and have a good time on the beach.
But, well… we came to eat, right? Here’s our proposal:

1 bottle of white Bahía de Dénia wine, 12 euros.
1 caldron of lobster rice, 12 euros x person.
Dessert: Cheesecake.
Coffee.
TOTAL: 40-50 euros, depending on whether you have an starter or not and additional liquors. Considering that it’s a whole caldron of lobster rice, in our opinion, having starters is just a bit too much.

Yummy!

NOTE: In the región there are Sea Urchins, but you’ll only be able to taste these if they’re in season, normally between December and February. You might get lucky and find some in different months of the year. NEVER during the summer. It’s a good idea to look around and find out if they’re available and take advantage.

Bon Profit!
